We sent message after message to people who never replied. We watched the same handful of homes appear and disappear week after week. We read horror story after horror story in the comments. Swappers being ghosted. Swappers being scammed. Swappers waiting two, three, four years for an exchange that never came.
One night we were sat on the sofa, telly on in the background, and the same thought hit us that had been there for months: surely there's a better way to do this. Surely this should be an app.
So we got up. And we started building it.
That was just over a year ago. Today, Link My Swap is a smart-matching, real-time, properly modern home swap platform — built by the people who needed it, for everyone else who needs it too.
The frustration that started it all is still our compass. Every feature, every design decision, every line of code is answering one question: would this have helped us back then? If yes, we ship it. If no, we don't.

From sofa to platform
Every step felt impossible at the time. None of them feel impossible now. The same is true for the campaign — change starts small.
