By using Link My Swap (the apps and https://linkmyswap.co.uk) you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the platform.
Eligibility
You must be 18 or over to use Link My Swap. You must have legal authority to swap the property you list (e.g. you own it, or your tenancy agreement permits mutual exchange).
Your account
You're responsible for everything that happens under your account. Don't share your password. If you suspect unauthorised access, change it immediately and contact us.
Acceptable use
- Don't list a property you don't have permission to swap.
- Don't harass, threaten or abuse other users.
- Don't post illegal content or scam attempts.
- Don't scrape or automate the platform.
- Don't try to circumvent our matching system (e.g. asking for off-app payments).
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules.
We're a matching platform, not a party to the swap
Link My Swap helps you find a swap partner. We don't:
- Verify property ownership beyond optional ID verification.
- Handle the swap paperwork (council exchange forms, etc.).
- Guarantee a swap will complete.
- Mediate disputes between swappers.
Any swap agreement is between you and the other party. We strongly recommend a written agreement and (for council homes) following your landlord's mutual exchange process.
Subscriptions
Premium subscriptions are billed monthly or annually via the App Store / Google Play (or RevenueCat for direct billing). Cancel anytime in your store settings — refunds are at the discretion of Apple/Google.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, our liability for any claim arising out of your use of Link My Swap is limited to the amount you've paid us in the last 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything else that can't be limited by law.
Changes
We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be communicated in-app and by email. Continuing to use Link My Swap after a change means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. Any disputes will be heard in the courts of England & Wales.
